The Role

We are seeking to hire Backend Software Engineers with strong JavaScript/Node.js skills. You won't just execute; you'll propose innovative ideas, directly enhancing the RingGo parking platform's quality and efficiency across its microservices in the UK. If you're a quick learner, eager for new challenges, passionate about software quality, and a true team player, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do

• Platform Enhancement: Collaborate with your team to plan, deliver, and maintain features and technical enhancements for the RingGo platform, improving its quality and efficiency.
• Quality Ownership: Take responsibility for the quality of our software and products through ongoing maintenance, support, and effective automated testing.
• Collaborative Development: Provide impactful peer code reviews, actively participate in team ceremonies, and continuously seek ways to improve our ways of working.
• End-to-End Delivery: Design, refine, estimate, and manage tasks with your team, owning the release process and ensuring clear communication.
• Business Partnership: Work closely with Product Managers and stakeholders to understand business needs, analyze solutions, and clarify implementation details.
• Technical Leadership: Guide other developers, elevate our technology, and consistently apply best practices across the team.
• Team Building: Contribute to the growth of our team by participating in recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding activities.

What You'll Bring

• Experience: 3+ years in backend development using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• API Expertise: Strong skills in developing REST APIs.
• Cloud & Containers: Experience with AWS platforms (e.g., EC2, Lambda) and Docker.
• DevOps Mindset: Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and a strong understanding of automation testing (static code, unit, mutation testing).
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, thriving both independently and collaboratively.
• Communication: Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication, comfortable collaborating across global, predominantly remote teams.
• Bonus Points: Experience with PHP and/or Terraform would be an advantage.
