Software Engineer

We're working with a Leuven-based FinTech company on the lookout for a Software Engineer skilled in Python and JavaScript.

The team builds SaaS tools for financial professionals across Europe to help them manage data and make smarter decisions.

They're now looking for someone passionate about working on a SaaS product and making it their own.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining robust APIs and backend services in Python (ideally with Django)
• Building clean, responsive UIs using JavaScript, preferably with Vue.js
• Working closely with financial engineers and data specialists to understand what users need—and how to deliver it
• Writing tests, reviewing code, and helping improve development workflows
• Participating in technical discussions and product planning—you’ll have a voice here, not just tickets

Your Profile=

• Solid experience with Python and a web framework like Django
• Strong frontend skills in JavaScript; Vue.js experience is a plus, but other modern frameworks are welcome too (React, Svelte, etc.)
• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar) and writing efficient SQL queries
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git, and exposure to CI/CD workflows
• The ability to write clean, maintainable code—and a willingness to refactor when things can be better
• Professional-level English (spoken and written); Dutch is nice to have but not required
