The Role:

As an AI Engineer at Haast, you'll design and implement hybrid recall methods that blend cutting-edge search databases with large language models. Your work will enhance our platform's ability to detect compliance risks in real-time, helping enterprises process thousands of marketing assets daily. We're looking for someone passionate about pushing the boundaries of AI and search technology to solve complex compliance challenges.

Impact you'll make:

• Design and implement hybrid search methods combining search databases and LLMs
• Fine-tune and optimise machine learning models for compliance detection
• Develop and maintain search infrastructure for high-performance query processing
• Benchmark and evaluate system performance to drive continuous improvement
• Work with structured and unstructured data to enhance compliance detection
• Collaborate with the team to implement cutting-edge ML solutions

What you'll bring

Must Have:

• 3+ years of experience in ML or search engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python with clean code practices
• Experience with Large Language Models and RAG architectures
• Solid understanding of machine learning models and methods
• Experience with database technologies (PostgreSQL)
• Experience in backend development
• Experience building NLP evaluation systems
• Track record of implementing production ML systems

Nice to Have:

• Data Engineering Experience
• Experience with search technologies (Vespa, OpenSearch)
• A background building benchmarking systems
• FastAPI framework knowledge
• Startup or high-growth environment experience
• AWS cloud platform expertise
• Research background in ML or search
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools
