Job Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct driver development for various interfaces (UART, I2C, CAN, ETH, etc).
  • Create ethernet switch configuration using vendor specific tools or by editing xml configuration files.
  • Check and update ethernet PHY configurations and debug PHY registers.
  • Create or integrate AUTOSAR SMI / SPI / I2C driver for ethernet switch / transceiver with the scope of monitor / configure depending on the customer requirements.
  • Know-how for creating a customized update procedure for ethernet devices with basic cybersecurity requirements.
  • Write/maintain SW level requirements for CDD's with focus on ethernet communication.
  • Lead the bring-up activities on ethernet communication devices:
    • Perform power-on sequence diagrams and cross-check it with vendor recommendation.
    • Check / update bootstrap configuration according to project needs.
    • Perform HW measurements using high-end oscilloscopes for debugging low-level communication protocol including the handshake for interconnected devices on the PCB (example: SGMII / RGMII / XFI)
    • Perform HW measurements to check and adapt timing on various interfaces.
    • Based on the existing HW and your measurements, update driver and receiver parameters.
  • Evaluate and improve the existing design with direct feedback to the HW team
  • Conduct performance tests for ethernet interfaces and identify early-on issues / bottlenecks.
  • Be involved in the HW architecture design with focus on the ethernet communication
  • Actively participate in HW schematic reviews
What You’ll Bring

  • Solid skills in C/C++ programming languages.
  • Medium hardware knowledge.
  • Solid knowledge in ethernet switch configurations and PHY usage.
  • Understanding of the following terms: TCP / UDP / SomeIp+SD / unicast, multicast and broadcast frames / RPC / ARP / PTP / MAC / VLAN / traffic mirroring / ICMP / QoS / TC10 / AVB.
  • Experience with board bring-up and driver development (ADC’s / UART / I2C / CAN / ETH).
  • Understanding of ethernet stack integration in classic AUTOSAR basic SW.
  • Understanding of modern SoC architectures, RTOS fundamentals.
  • Experience with various Automotive ethernet chip producers (Marvell, Broadcom, Realtek, TI).
