The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s high-performance verification systems. They will use their extensive background in backend Java development and the latest technologies to translate the client's business requirements into high-quality products.

You'll be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining resilient microservices applications including analysis, design, and implementation.
• Designing data models and database management.
• Participating in system and application architecture & creating system design and application maintenance documents.
• Working with software testing teams and assisting them in maintaining robust test scripts and test environments.
• Designing, writing, securing and consuming REST APIs.
• Supporting the operations group in application problem analysis and resolution.
• Participating in rotating on-call support when required.
  
  

You bring:

• A University degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years software development experience.
• Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
• Experience developing high-throughput concurrent Java applications using Spring Boot and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience designing and implementing service-oriented and microservices architectures.
• Experience in cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.
• Experience with database design and development using relational and NoSQL databases, and an understanding of database administration.
• Extensive experience in event/messaging technologies.
• Strong communication skills - verbal and written (technical documentation).
  
  

Nice to have:

• Experience working in an Agile team.
• Experience with Maven or similar build tools.
• Experience with caching using Hazelcast and/or Redis.
• Experience with Docker.
