DevOps Engineer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team and support the development, deployment, and operational lifecycle of enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Cloudera ecosystem, Jenkins pipelines, and Git-based source control, with a passion for automation, scalability, and continuous integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to support data engineering and application development teams.
• Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration across environments.
• Administer and support Cloudera/Hadoop clusters, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Integrate tools and platforms to streamline build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Manage Git repositories for version control, branching strategies, and code merge processes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with development, QA, data, and security teams to drive DevOps best practices.
• Participate in troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
• Document all automation processes, deployment workflows, and operational procedures.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins (declarative pipelines, plugin management, integrations).
• Proficient in using Git for source control, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution.
• Solid experience managing and supporting Cloudera (CDH/CDP) platforms in production environments.
• Good scripting skills in Shell, Python, or Groovy.
• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and containerization.
• Familiarity with Linux system administration and networking fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
