Consultant – Strategy and Transactions in EY Parthenon team (Commercial & Financial Due Diligence)

We’re looking for a Senior Consultant team member to join our Strategy and Transactions team. You’ll help clients make smart business decisions when buying or investing in companies. Your focus will be on two key areas:

• Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) – analyzing the market, competitors, and business strategy to see if the company has growth potential.
• Financial Due Diligence (FDD) – checking the numbers to see if the company is financially healthy.
  
  

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Consultant, you will take full ownership of key parts of the engagement (e.g. Market size or competitors benchmarking in CDD; revenue or working capital analysis in FDD;), delivering your sections independently. You will be supported by the Manager through the project and will coordinate the work of junior team members, who may either assist you with your workstreams or be responsible for their own clearly defined sections.

• Research companies, industries, customers, and competitors using online tools and databases.
• Use your strong accounting skills to examine fiancial performace of companies and highlight any red flags.
• Talk to company C-suit to gather useful information.
• Help write clear reports and presentations for clients.
• Support and guide junior team members on projects.
• Work with other teams in EY (like tax or legal) to offer complete solutions.
• Help with proposals and new business opportunities.
• Use EY’s internal AI-powered tools and data platforms to streamline analysis and improve accuracy.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related subject.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar field (transaction advisory, management consulting, M&A, investment banking, or private equity).
• Advanced understanding of accounting and financial statements.
• Knowledge of how businesses work and make money.
• Experience in a Big Four or managment consulting company is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Advanced at using PowerPoint and Excel.
• Fluent in Latvian and English.

Salary: 2350 – 2900 gross (depending on candidates’ experience)
