Role Overview

The CEO for Argentina will be responsible for establishing and scaling our operations, ensuring full compliance with local financial regulations (including Central Bank of Argentina and UIF/SEPA requirements), and building strategic partnerships. This leader will have deep expertise in fintech, crypto payments, and Argentine business law, with a proven track record in launching and managing regulated financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory & Licensing Leadership

• Secure all necessary licenses (PSP, crypto exchange, VASP, or other financial permits) for operating a Web3 payment business in Argentina.
• Navigate BCRA (Central Bank), CNV (Securities Regulator), and AFIP (Tax Authority) requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CFT) laws.

Business Setup & Operations

• Establish legal entities, banking relationships, and local partnerships.
• Develop go-to-market strategies for crypto/fiat payment solutions in Argentina.
• Hire and lead local teams (compliance, business development, tech).

Growth & Partnerships

• Build relationships with banks, fintechs, crypto exchanges, and merchants.
• Drive customer acquisition (B2B & B2C) and revenue growth.
• Represent the company at industry events and with regulators.

Risk & Compliance

• Implement robust KYC/AML policies aligned with Argentine law.
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting crypto/fintech in Argentina.

Qualifications:

• 7-10+ years in fintech, payments, or crypto, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role (C-Suite, Director or Regulatory Lead).
• Deep knowledge of Argentine financial regulations (BCRA, CNV, UIF, AFIP) and experience securing licenses.
• Strong network in Argentine banking, fintech, and crypto ecosystems.
• Experience launching payment processors, digital wallets, or crypto exchanges in LATAM.
• Fluent in English (Portuguese and Spanish a plus).
• Passion for Web3, blockchain, and decentralized finance (DeFi).
