What You Will Do

Support to the Senior Network Engineer in maintaining, monitoring, and enhancing the network infrastructure. Assists with troubleshooting, documentation, and learning opportunities to support continuous network improvements.

Network Engineer

• Assist with daily operational tasks such as monitoring network performance, responding to incidents, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Document procedures, configurations, and changes as directed by the Senior Network Engineer.
  
  

Network Configuration & Maintenance

• Help configure and deploy network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi equipment).
• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities (e.g., upgrades, patches) to ensure network reliability and security.
  
  

Incident Management & Troubleshooting

• Collaborate with the Senior Network Engineer to resolve network outages or degradation.
• Perform initial diagnostics and escalate issues when necessary.
  
  

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of network configurations, incidents, and changes.
• Prepare basic reports and summaries to keep the Senior Network Engineer and IT team informed.
  
  

Learning & Development

• Continuously develop knowledge of network technologies, protocols, and best practices.
• Participate in relevant training and certifications as recommended by the Senior Network Engineer.
  
  

What You Need To Succeed

Must have

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience: 2-3 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a related role.

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing and switching concepts.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
• Exposure to firewall management and VPN, SD-WAN, MPLS technologies.
• Technologies it will work with: Cisco, Extreme Network, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Zscaler
  
  

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work under the guidance of a Senior Network Engineer and follow established procedures.
  
  

Other Requirements

• Availability to travel 1-2 times per year for business needs.
• Availability to work in extra business hours or across different time zones.
