About the Role:

A leading bank based in Brussels is seeking a Senior React & Node.js Developer to join its Trading team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance web applications for a real-time trading platform. Youll work on both front-end and back-end logic, helping to deliver responsive, secure, and scalable solutions that power the banks digital investment services.

You will collaborate closely with UX designers, backend engineers, DevOps, and product owners to create seamless experiences for thousands of daily users in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop modern web applications using React.js on the front end and Node.js on the back end.
  • Translate complex UI/UX designs into interactive, high-performance features.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services to support trading functionalities.
  • Optimize web performance, ensure accessibility, and guarantee responsiveness across devices.
  • Integrate with internal systems and external financial data providers.
  • Participate in architectural design, code reviews, testing, and deployment automation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Collaborate within Agile teams and actively contribute to continuous improvement.


Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in web development, with solid hands-on expertise in:
    • React.js, React - Native, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript
    • Node.js and Express.js or similar frameworks
  • Strong understanding of front-end architecture, state management (Redux, Context API), and component-based development.
  • Experience in building REST APIs, integrating third-party services, and managing asynchronous data flows.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, React Testing Library), version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, performance tuning, and accessibility standards.
  • Previous exposure to trading, financial platforms, or real-time data applications is a strong asset.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
