About the role

We are looking for a Machine Learning/Computer Vision Engineer to develop and optimize deep learning models for real-time video processing on embedded platforms. This role requires strong expertise in embedded ML, computer vision, and coding in C++ and Python. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and refine AI-driven solutions that operate efficiently in constrained environments.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and deploy computer vision models for real-time video analysis on embedded systems

- Optimize deep learning models for performance, latency, and resource efficiency

- Implement robust inference pipelines using industry-standard tools and frameworks

- Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration

- Conduct rigorous testing, profiling, and debugging across various platforms and use cases

- Stay updated on advancements in computer vision, embedded AI, and system-level optimization

- Document designs, experiments, and performance benchmarks for cross-functional teams

Must have skills

-Proven experience developing and optimizing ML models for real-time applications

-Strong background in computer vision and deep learning

-Proficient in both Python and C++ with experience in performance-critical applications

-Experience working with embedded or edge AI deployment

-Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systems

- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

Skills:

-4+ years of experience with Python

-2+ years of experience in Computer Vision

-2+ years of experience in Machine Learning

-2+ years of experience using C++

Nice to have skills

- Experience with real-time video processing pipelines

- Familiarity with hardware accelerators (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Qualcomm DSPs)

- Knowledge of model quantization, pruning, and conversion for on-device inference

- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for ML systems

Conditions

- 100% Remote, primary timezone UTC-7 with minimum 5 hours overlap with PST

- Contractor role: 12-month contract, renewable

- Full-time dedication (40 hours/week)
