AI Engineer

We've partnered with an AI focused startup to hire an AI Engineer to join as one of its early technical hires. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of machine learning and large language models (LLMs), helping to transform the Financial Services industry through cutting-edge AI solutions.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the product and engineering team to design, build, and deploy models that solve real-world problems - delivering meaningful impact and shaping the future of the platform.

About the role:

• Develop, fine-tune, and deploy deep learning models and LLMs to power innovative features
• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for training, evaluation, and real-time inference
• Prototype and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and embedding-based search
• Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to identify and deliver AI-driven solutions
• Take ownership of model deployment, monitoring, optimisation, and continuous improvement

About you:

• Strong Python programming skills, with experience in frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX
• Solid understanding of modern machine learning techniques, particularly NLP, LLMs, and generative AI
• Experience deploying models in cloud environments (e.g. AWS, GCP)
• Bonus: experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma) and RAG architectures
