Overview Of The Role

JCB is seeking talented Software Engineers—from ambitious juniors to experienced principal engineers—to join our innovative and dynamic team. The ideal engineer will have experience in Embedded C programming or Model-Based Development to design, develop, and implement software solutions for cutting-edge transmission and driveline systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced control systems that power JCB’s world-class machinery.

What does this role involve day to day?

• Designing and developing robust, efficient embedded software for transmission and driveline control systems.
• Writing, testing, and debuging code in Embedded C to meet system requirements.
• Utilizing tools like MATLAB/Simulink to create, simulate, and implement control algorithms.
• Performing Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Vehicle-in-the-Loop (VIL) testing to validate control strategies.
• Writing software requirements & Test specifications.
  
  
  

This will be suited to you if

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• You have strong proficiency in Embedded C programming and debugging.
• You have experience with Model-Based Development using MATLAB/Simulink.
• You have familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontroller architectures.
• You have experience in developing embedded software for automotive or off-highway machinery
• You have worked with V-Model methodology
