Nxt Museum is the first museum in the Netherlands dedicated to New Media Art. We are passionate about art, technology, science and innovation and are on a mission to push the boundaries of what a museum can be.
This is your opportunity to grow with Nxt Museum! Nxt is looking for an intern (f/m/x) to join the museum’s Operations Team, where you will be working closely with the Museum Experience Producers.
Maintaining Nxt Museum’s fourth exhibition, providing support on large scale public programme events and B2B events, and helping to produce workshops for schools and companies are among the tasks that you will be involved with. Under the guidance of the Nxt Museum staff, you will learn how to produce an event from conception to production, and work with teams across the company to do so; from Sales & Partnerships to Marketing and Studio.
To help you develop a wide set of skills, this internship includes a variety of tasks:
- Assisting with organising events and other activities, such as performances, workshops and artist talks;
- Assisting with the maintenance of the museum’s fourth exhibition;
- Supporting the Producers with creating budgets, briefing documents and call sheets;
- Closely working together with museum partners and staff members;
- Other tasks related to the museum’s daily operations, such as working with our experience team, building maintenance, and technical support.
We welcome everyone: all ethnicities, personalities, looks, characters, backgrounds, gender identities and all forms of expression. If you have the following qualities and attributes to help us in our next phase of growing the Nxt brand and audience, we’d love to hear from you:
- You have a keen interest in learning how to run an exhibition, produce events and other special projects;
- Art and technology excite you;
- You have a can-do attitude and proactive personality;
- You’re a problem solver;
- You have an eye for detail;
- You're a team player;
- You're confident in reading, writing and speaking English. Dutch is a plus (but not essential).
- Be part of the most exciting space for new media art, at the forefront of groundbreaking art;
- This is a unique chance to experience what it takes to run the museum of the future;
- Join an international team where being yourself is appreciated and celebrated;
- You will learn how to deliver a project on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
- 425,- EUR compensation per month (based on 40hr per week).
We celebrate different mindsets, personalities and approaches and therefore you should apply to this role in any way you wish – by CV and accompanying note, by video (max 2 minutes), sketch, poster or any format you’d prefer to tell us about yourself with. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Deadline for applications: 25th June, 2025
Start date: 18th August, 2025
Contract: 4/5 days per week for 6 months
