TECHNICAL ENGINEER / SPECIALIST in the field of Network Security (m/f)

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Pre-sales activities and identification of concrete IT security solutions tailored to customer needs,
• planning, maintenance, and management of modern network and security solutions,
• customer support and technical advice,
• implementation of projects, including creation of documentation and active participation in the introduction of new technological services,
• monitoring and management of network security interventions,
• keeping up to date with the latest developments and technologies in the field,
• system support and technical advice to customers and network analysts,
• testing and evaluation of new solutions within the broader field of information security,
• creation of project documentation and standard operating procedures,
• technical assistance to sales teams in designing and verifying offers,
• development and delivery of content for internal and external training sessions,
• collecting and documenting useful information, including examples of unusual configurations and best practices,
• sharing acquired knowledge with colleagues through internal trainings and presentations,
• providing network security services to customers internationally.

Expected knowledge and competences

We welcome candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Strong understanding of network protocols, including the TCP/IP stack,
• management, configuration, and maintenance of firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortigate),
• knowledge of wireless security technologies and best practices,
• familiarity with VPN technologies and secure remote access solutions,
• understanding of cloud environments and virtualization platforms,
• solid grasp of network infrastructure components and their security implications.

Conditions

• Education in the field of computer science, informatics, electrical engineering or another relevant field,
• at least 5 years of experience in the same or similar jobs,
• Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, or Fortigate certifications are an advantage,
• fluent knowledge of the English language,
• willingness to work abroad,
• willingness to learn,
• adaptability, independence at work, self-initiative, reliability, responsibility, precision, and perseverance.
