Interface Project Engineer I

Position N+1: Head of Construction

PURPOSE

The Interface Project Engineer I is responsible for the interfaces between Construction and other entities (OPP, FOPS; MP; DRILLING; RGS; MARINE; CPD) for portfolio of projects.

He/She will be the focal for the interfaces for the Wells Hookup between Construction and Other entities.

In addition he/she will assist to deliver a mixed portfolio of small to medium sized Construction Projects, via the application of the project maturation processes and standards.

To drive an accident free environment, maintaining a strong safety culture; compliance with HSE rules.

To assist to plan and budget the Construction Projects works related to Al Shaheen field.

To assist to deliver The Projects safely, on time, to budget and to the required level of quality.

ACTIVITIES

Responsible for running Construction Projects activities to the works related to the Al Shaheen field, including:

• To drive an incident free (IF) environment in the development, planning and execution of projects.
• Uphold and be a role model for the company’s core values and Incident Free behaviours.
• To ensure compliance with HSE (occupational and process) legislation, Company standards and procedures as they apply to project management and project engineering, to ensure employee safety and legislative compliance.
• To ensure compliance with Company Management System and applicable International Standards.
• To assist to review and to approve deviations to NOC standards.
• To assist to prepare Project Execution strategy and Project Execution Plan.
• To assist to plan the works in accordance to prioritization agreed with the Projects Owner, based on emergency, safety, production and future development critical needs.
• To assist to prepare, obtain approval of and manage project budgets. Maintain project cost and schedule estimates as required in line with project stages
• To assist to prepare progress and cost reports and forecasts are maintained and distributed to line manager and key stakeholders.
• To assist to review and finalise Contractors’ Cost, Time and Resource estimates.
• To ensure appropriate reviews are carried out, such as HAZOP, HAZID constructability & design, to ensure Project risks are identified & managed.
• To assist to manage change of scope appropriately and conduct an assessment of resulting cost and schedule impact.
• To assist to interface with other departments in E&C, as well as with all other entities (FOPS/RGS/D&W/MARINE/CPD/MP/OPP) to ensure close collaboration to meet business objectives.
• To deliver a consistent dossier (documents, materials, procured and fabricated items, precom/com dossiers ...) to execute the projects offshore.
• To assist in Management of the procurement activities, including preparation & submission of contract strategies, in conjunction with C&P.
• Complete the close-out process, ensure a lessons learned is carried out, communicate to relevant parties and actions completed.
• To assist and provide support to the team and other departments in E&C to justify the estimations to the clients, assets or partners.
• To proactively take responsibility for self-progression by keeping abreast with latest best industry practice in project management and project engineering.
• To carry out any other duties or tasks that may be assigned by his hierarchical superiors/manager.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

Doha (Qatar) office with possible mission to project premises (onshore/offshore/in the country/outside the country). Standard office hours, 5 days a week.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelors’ degree in Engineering from internationally recognised University.
• Above 5 years’ experience in Oil and Gas.
• Experience in Wells Hookup Design is preferred.
• Some knowledge of industry best practice in Project Management.
• Fluent in English.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Highly proficient in MS Office
