Position Title: Principal Cyber Security Consultant
Duration: 12-Month Daily Rate Contract (with potential extension)
Clearance: Must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain NV1 Security Clearance

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Cyber Security Consultant to lead and deliver advanced cyber security initiatives within a complex and high-security environment.
This role will focus on enterprise security architecture, endpoint protection, identity management, vulnerability assessment, and privileged access solutions. You will act as a senior SME across critical security domains, providing strategic and technical leadership to stakeholders while ensuring compliance with security frameworks and organisational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise-level cyber security solutions.
- Deliver and manage configurations in Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Satellite, and Identity Management (IDM) environments.
- Implement and maintain endpoint protection and application control technologies, including Carbon Black and Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC).
- Oversee vulnerability management programs using tools such as Tenable and RunZero.
- Administer and secure Privileged Access Management systems, including Delinea Secret Server, MFA, and Entra ID integrations.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (PKI).
- Support Entra ID Cloud Sync solutions, ensuring robust identity and directory synchronisation across hybrid environments.
- Provide guidance and assurance across patching, configuration management, and secure architecture practices.
Essential Criteria
- Linux and Red Hat Expertise – Strong hands-on experience with RHEL, Red Hat Satellite, IDM, and FA Policy D.
- Application Control – Proven experience with Carbon Black and WDAC for advanced threat prevention.
- Vulnerability Management – Deep understanding and practical knowledge of Tenable and RunZero platforms.
- Privileged Access Management (PAM) – Experience with Delinea Secret Server, Entra ID, and MFA implementation.
- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) – Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services.
- Identity Synchronisation – Experience with Microsoft Entra ID Cloud Sync across hybrid environments.
Desirable Criteria
- Identity Governance – Familiarity with Entra ID Entitlement and Lifecycle Management features.
- Infrastructure Virtualisation – Knowledge of Nutanix AOS/AHV, Prism Central, and ESXi environments.
- Server Management – Experience managing Microsoft Windows Server platforms and enterprise patching strategies.
- Automation & Scripting – Practical skills in PowerShell, Ansible, Entra ID automation, and exposure to Citrix and VMware environments.
