Position Description

In this important role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing an internal, web-based MIS system built with PHP and the Laravel framework. This crucial system is used by staff to manage customer information, orders, quotes, and to track project status, costs, and profitability.

• Develop and maintain an existing PHP codebase written on the Laravel framework
• Assist in coding, planning, and debugging website for features development
• Troubleshoot bugs found in code to identify the source of the issue and find a resolution
• Interact and design schemas for MySQL databases
• Perform tests and debugging to ensure quality and functionality of features developed
• Work with employees using website to identify issues and how to best resolve them
• Interact with a terminal on a basic level to establish SSH connections and perform basic tasks on a server

Experience

• PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Laravel or another PHP framework
• MySQL (or other relational databases)
• JQuery and Bootstrap packages
• Git or other versioning solutions
• Ajax calls within the browser
• Debug coding issues on a webpage
