Senior Software Engineer – AI & Elixir (Remote / Hybrid EU)

What you'll be building:

• Design and implement high‑performance, scalable web services in Elixir and Phoenix, targeting mission‑critical operations.
• Build intelligent features powered by LLMs—think dynamic insights, automation, conversational UI.
• Develop robust APIs and backend systems that handle heavy concurrency and real‑time workloads (utilizing OTP, GenStage, etc.).
• Shape our technical roadmap: evaluate and integrate new tools, languages, and best practices to scale faster.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of clean code, shared knowledge, and continuous learning.

Who you are:

• 5+ years as a software engineer, with hands‑on experience in Elixir and functional programming paradigms.
• Proven experience applying LLMs or NLP in production (fine‑tuning, prompt design, embedding-based systems).
• Deep expertise in web/backend development, async systems, performance tuning, and distributed architectures.
• Thoughtful communicator, skilled in code reviews, technical design, and mentoring peers.
• Strategically curious — you think several steps ahead and champion scalable, maintainable solutions.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience with microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Built or contributed to open-source projects or published technical content—blog posts, talks, podcasts, etc.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and DevOps workflows.
