Job Description:

Our client, a global innovation leader in health technology and high-end consumer electronics, is seeking a Software Engineer to support critical development efforts in their embedded systems division. This contract role is based in Eindhoven, Netherlands, and is set to run until 31st December 2025, with an immediate start.

In this role, you’ll be challenged to produce high-quality, tested, and documented software, contributing to both the design and architecture phases of embedded product development. You will work in an international, cross-functional setting that values technical depth and a proactive mindset.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop source code in C++, adhering to internal coding standards
  • Estimate development effort and analyze run-time resource requirements
  • Participate in reviews and technical walkthroughs
  • Design and execute unit/component test cases
  • Document architecture and component-level design of embedded products
  • Identify and implement process improvements in the software lifecycle
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and international suppliers (Asia/Eastern Europe)
  • Operate in agile/SAFe environments with a strong emphasis on quality and compliance


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience (with Bachelor's) or entry-level with Master’s
  • Solid experience in embedded software development using C/C++
  • Hands-on knowledge of Git/GitHub and agile methodologies (e.g. SAFe)
  • Strong background in software architecture, testing, and quality assurance
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and strong quality mindset
