Frontend Developer

Start: 1/7/2025 or a couple of weeks later
End: 30/6/2026 with option to extend / work there permanently

I'm looking for a Frontend Developer who's passionate about crafting scalable, consistent, and accessible UI components that power products used by hundred thousands.

What you'll do:
* Research, build and maintain reusable components and tools for our Web platforms with accessibility, performance and resilience in mind.
* Collaborate across teams to advocate for digital design best practices.
* Drive consistency in user experience by sharing knowledge through documentation and supporting your peers.
* Help scale our design system to meet the needs of a growing digital organisation.

We're looking for someone who:
* Has technical proficiency in the fundamentals of the Web platform: HTML, modern CSS, Accessibility, Web APIs, and JavaScript.
* Understands fundamental design principles, like typography, spacing and is able to create visual coherent systems.
* Can safely navigate platform constraints, and strives for the most platform-agnostic solutions.
* Writes clear and comprehensive documentation to help guide our consumers.
* Is a good listener and wants to enable others.
* Can think in scalable systems.

Bonus points:
* If you understand terms like: Design Tokens, Mobile-first, Intrinsic Layouts, Progressive Enhancement.
* Contributions to open-source design systems.
* Familiarity with tools like Storybook, Figma, React Native.
