Job Purpose
To support sales and marketing activities with efficient data driven reviews of internal performance and external market analysis, with aim of presenting commercial opportunities that can be tracked to successful completion. Be the support and perform backup tasks to the Commercial Lead role.
Responsibilities
2.1 Generate appropriate reports for internal performance against customer commitments.
- Develop and circulate regular volume and quality progress (in conjunction with production and technical departments) against shipping schedules (in conjunction with SCM) and customer expectations.
- Be able to provide analysis of product / customer profitability (in conjunction with finance).
2.2 Generate appropriate reports for customer performance against contractual requirements.
- Develop specific reports to be able to monitor customer performance (such as commitment to volume declarations, shipping commitments and payment performance).

2.3 Monitor and report on external market dynamics.
- Be able to model and update global supply / demand balances, with sufficient regional granularity, such as to be able to present commercial opportunities for consideration.
- Provide a pertinent market report that can be produced on a regular basis.
- Epitomise the STAAR acronym (Simplicity, Timeliness, Accuracy, Accountability and Results), for every task and interface, ensuring completion of all actions, whilst continually looking (and implementing) areas of commercial process improvement.

2.4 Be custodian of subscribed pricing publications.
- Manage interface with publications, including management of annual subscriptions and regular assessment of cost effectiveness.
- Timely review of news reports, disseminating relevant news promptly to key stakeholders, along with view if news is opportunity or threat and suggested response recommendation for consideration.
- Provide training, and or dissemination, of key price references to key stakeholders.
Requirements:
Essential qualifications, experience, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Commercial, Finance, SCM or engineering roles, and have a strong analytical background.
- Well-developed technology skills including Microsoft office (intermediate level) and SAP Finance and MM modules (intermediate level).
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal skills and be a team player.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, and Arabic.
Generic Skills:
- The job holder has well developed financial acumen, commercial skills, and natural negotiation ability.
- They need to possess a keen learning aptitude, attention to detail, be an efficient executer of tasks and have a passionate results orientated drive.
- They also need to be personally professional and be able to adapt their communication style to interact appropriately from the shop floor level to the C suite level.
