Senior PHP Symfony Developer

Our client is a Consulting and Advisory Company specialized in Asset Liability, Balance Sheet Management, and Treasury Investments Services. The company intervenes at both Strategic level, advising clients on how to achieve Balance Sheet Optimization and best in class ALM Portfolio Management, and Operational level, providing project management consulting services resources and business intelligence in Treasury, ALM, Risk & Finance.

The entity covers many jurisdictions such as Switzerland, Israel, UK, EU, HK and SG, utilizing over 40 years of cumulated experience and success at top management Treasury & Investments, ALM, Risk & Finance positions in global banking institutions. At the core of their approach is the creation of robust governance frameworks that ensure long-term stability and strategic clarity. The company assists clients in building governance systems that streamline decision-making, enhance transparency, and align with regulatory requirements.

We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced Senior PHP Symfony Developer to join our client's development team. 

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in developing web applications using PHP and Symfony framework.
• Strong skills and in-depth knowledge of PHP 8.1+ and Symfony 6 or 7 is a must.
• Hands-on experience of RESTful API development and consumption.
• Proficiency in building robust admin interfaces.
• Solid understanding of database design and optimization. 
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization in general.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. 
• A willingness to learn and an interest in keeping up to date with the latest technologies and methodologies. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• At least Upper-Intermediate English.
• Our ideal candidate must be Symfony certified

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a robust web application using PHP 8.1+, Symfony 6/7 and related technologies. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet customer needs. 
• Implement new features and optimize application performance, ensuring high availability. 
• Participate in CI/CD processes to streamline deployment and enhance development workflows. 
• Manage database interactions and implement best practices for data integrity and security. 
• Share your knowledge and experience with developers and other colleagues.
• Adapt quickly to changing environments, concepts, and emerging technologies, assisting in the evolution of our web solutions and customer experiences.
• Staying abreast of the latest developments within PHP and Symfony framework.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm in project discussions, meetings, and decision-making processes.
