We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Data Analyst to join our Business Analytics team. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to contribute to data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with experienced analysts to learn and develop your skills in data gathering, analysis, and interpretation. You will also collaborate with other teams within the Analytics function, including Product Analytics and Data Science, as well as mission owners and the Data Platform team.

Key Responsibilities

Ownership and Project Management:

• Translate business needs into actionable reports, ensuring smooth data flow from stakeholders to technical implementation.
• Promote data quality and governance by collaborating with Analytics Engineering and the Data Platform team.
• Participate in evaluating and implementing new data tools and solutions.
• Develop a deep understanding of our BI tool's capabilities and optimization opportunities.
• Partner with Data Engineering and Data Science to ensure alignment of data models.
• Help prioritize tasks and propose innovative alternatives when needed.
  
  

Data Collection And Management

• Work with stakeholders to define data needs and translate them into reports.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to maintain accurate and consistent data sources.
• Support and enhance data literacy across teams.
  
  

Analysis And Reporting

• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develop both regular and ad-hoc reports to assist decision-making processes.
  
  

Insights And Recommendations

• Provide actionable insights to improve business processes and outcomes.
• Suggest data-driven improvements to enhance overall business performance.
• Help teams understand their performance through comprehensive data analysis.
  
  

Collaboration And Communication

• Collaborate with various teams to integrate and improve data processes.
• Present findings and recommendations in a clear and engaging manner.
• Train and support team members in using data analysis tools and interpreting data.
  
  

Continuous Improvement And Learning

• Stay current with the latest data analysis techniques, tools, and industry best practices.
• Continuously seek ways to improve data collection and analysis processes.
• Participate in organizational improvement initiatives.
• Be open to learning new skills and adapting to evolving business needs and technologies.
  
  

Technical Responsibilities

• Conduct exploratory analysis to help stakeholders understand business problems.
• Deliver insights and integrate them into decision-making processes when needed.
• Understand business logic behind data generation and transformation.
• Communicate insights through dashboards, visualizations, and presentations.
• Assist in data modeling within your area of focus.
• Identify and report data quality issues to relevant team members.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Project Management, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in data and business analysis or starter after Data/Analytics related bootcamp.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, MixPanel, Power BI).
• Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
  
  

Analytical Skills

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  
  

Soft Skills

• Proven ability to identify and analyze problems, evaluate solutions, and implement resolutions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  
  

Communication Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
