Creative Intern | Aesop Paris | 6-Month Internship

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Aesop Creative Team in Paris as a 4/6-month intern with an immediate start.

Purpose of the internship Aesop Creativity endeavours to develop unrivalled design that challenges and excites through concepts that resonate with local communities and honour our environment. Aesop Creative does not concede to the mass approach; we create distinctive campaigns and installations that are executed with formidable artistry. We are storytellers, delivering an authentic, timeless and unique approach.

The Graphic Designer Intern will work closely with Art Directors and Senior Art Directors based in London, Paris and at times Tokyo remotely from the Aesop Paris Head Office. They will contribute to the creative development of campaign concepts and help support the development of design solutions that translate the treatments across the required deliverables, including still and moving assets, audio-based projects and experiences, under the mentorship of Aesop Art Directors.

The role requires a collegial and diplomatic nature that builds strong relationships and is an ambassador of Aesop values both within the company and externally with our partners.

Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to

• Assist in the design of visuals for internal and external projects, adhering to the brand's aesthetic guidelines.
• Contribute to the creation of assets for campaigns, providing creative input and participating in production.
• Collaborate with the Finished Art team to ensure the delivery of all assets, suggesting process improvements.
• Assist the digital team in content creation and e-commerce project development, contributing to UX and module design for digital and social platforms.
• Work closely with the UX and Front-end Development teams to enhance the user experience on our e-commerce site, particularly on mobile and responsive designs.
• Participate in file preparation and management, ensuring proper archiving and accessibility of documents.
• Help create digital templates, guidelines, and specification documents.
• Collaborate closely with Art Directors to understand the team's objectives and creative ambitions.
• Contribute to maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Work closely with your internship supervisor to ensure regular progress monitoring.
• Learn and integrate the company's culture and values.
• Develop a good understanding of the business and contribute to annual objectives.
  
  

Who We Are Looking For

• Student in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, interaction design, or equivalent.
• Student with a school internship agreement
• Portfolio demonstrating digital design skills, ideally with student or personal projects.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
• Good knowledge of UX and UI design principles, and prototyping software like Figma or Adobe XD.
• Strong commands with the Adobe Creative Suite (CC). Knowledge of HTML/CSS and CMS systems
• Ability to adapt communication to various media (print and digital).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative and creative mindset.
• Passion for digital design and innovative technologies.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills.
