Android Developer

 Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid – Locals Only)

 Duration: 6+ Months

 Pay Rate (1099/C2C): Starting at $42/hour

 Client: A Fortune 500 Retail & E-Commerce Leader

• Local candidates only. This is a hybrid role based in Sunnyvale, CA (onsite presence required).

• Prior experience in large-scale retail or e-commerce environments is strongly preferred.
• Compensation may vary depending on experience and technical alignment.

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join a high-performing mobile engineering team. You’ll help build scalable, user-friendly Android applications that serve millions of users while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

• 6+ years of experience in Android development using Kotlin/Java
• Proficiency in Jetpack components, RecyclerView, and Material Design principles
• Experience with REST APIs, Retrofit/Volley, and JSON parsing
• Handle UI state, network failure scenarios, and device orientation changes
• Optimize for performance, memory usage, and UI responsiveness
• Write comprehensive unit and UI tests (JUnit, Espresso)
• Experience with Git, Dagger/Hilt, and dependency injection best practices
• Comfortable working in Agile teams with designers, product managers, and engineers

• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and Jetpack Compose
• Familiarity with Mockito and other UI testing frameworks
• Background in large-scale consumer mobile applications

• Estimated Annual Base: ~$87,360/year
• Minus estimated health insurance (~$600/month): ~$80,160/year net (approximate)
