Regular Frontend Engineer

With the aim of providing easily customizable online pre-employment assessment tests, eSkill Corporation has developed into a global leader in employment-related skills testing. eSkill provides organizations with a web-based skill testing service. Specifically, the eSkill application lets hiring and training managers configure tests from our extensive subject library to match their hiring and training needs and reduce the risk of hiring failures and discrimination litigation.

Our product is running on an outdated front-end stack that relies on the proprietary Liferay Portal framework and, in several modules, Google Web Toolkit (GWT). We are searching for a frontend engineer, who will be able to develop new product features and experience yet also operate in a legacy codebase if needed.

Requirements

Must-have experience:

2–4 years of professional front-end development experience.

Solid understanding of TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Redux, Webpack/Vite, eslint/prettier, npm or pnpm.

Solid knowledge of web security, web performance and accessibility best practices.

Experience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs.

2-4 of leveraging a Design System.

Nice-to-have

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and the general build process.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do...

Build new UI features in React + TypeScript with clean, maintainable code.

Pair with backend, Product, and Design to deliver end-to-end slices in each sprint.

Write unit and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright).

Help gradually replace legacy components with modern variants alongside the Modernization Lead.
