Senior IT Project Manager/ Program Manager (API Development)

Our client is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager/ Program Manager (API Development) to oversee one or more projects within Mutual IT. You will manage IT infrastructure projects, such as developing APIs, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery, and alignment with business goals.

This role requires close collaboration with internal departments and calls for strong project management skills with a technical foundation.

What You’ll Be Doing 🛠️

• You’ll manage end-to-end delivery of one or more projects—developing APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), tools that let different systems communicate.

APIs are used for:

• Connecting front-end and back-end systems
• Integrating third-party services
• Automating processes

Primary Responsibilities

• 📋 Prepare and maintain project plans
• ⏳ Ensure on-time, on-budget, within-scope delivery
• 🧑‍⚖️ Prepare SteerCo presentations and ensure governance
• 📅 Define timelines and milestones
• ⚠️ Manage risks and issues
• 🧩 Clarify scope and technical synergies
• ✅ Ensure compliance with standards and best practices
• 👥 Lead internal teams and/or external contractors
• 💡 Proactively propose technical solutions and innovations
• 📈 Report progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders

🛠️ Technical Requirements

• 🎓 Master’s Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• 💼 10+ years of IT Project Management (especially in app development)
• 🧠 Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and dev environments
• 🌀 Agile mindset
• 📜 Certified in PRINCE2, PMI, or similar
