This role will support all key areas of human resources, including onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional who can manage day-to-day HR operations while contributing to a positive and compliant workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute the onboarding process, including new hire paperwork, I-9 verification, benefits enrollment, and orientation
- Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure accurate reporting in collaboration with Finance
- Administer employee benefits including 401(k), health, dental, vision, life insurance, and support open enrollment processes
- Support bonus programs and assist in tracking compensation changes and incentives
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system with accuracy and confidentiality
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and internal policies
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs
- Conduct exit interviews and manage offboarding processes
- Partner with management on employee engagement, recognition, and retention strategies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 3–5 years of HR Generalist or similar HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Proficient in payroll systems and HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Paycom, or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in all matters
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Prior experience supporting hourly and salaried employees
- Familiarity with safety and training programs in an industrial environment
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
