Programme Manager – Global Jira Tooling Rollout
Location: Amsterdam – 4 days per week onsite
Contract: 6-month contract
Rate: Up to €120 per hour – Based on a 40 hour working week.
Digital Skills is working with a leading global organisation to find an experienced Programme Manager to lead the rollout of Jira tooling and processes across multiple business units. This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on standardising planning practices and accelerating Jira adoption at scale.
You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery across several workstreams, engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation, strong governance, and alignment across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of a complex, enterprise-wide Jira tooling rollout programme.
- Define programme phases, scope, business objectives, and success criteria with minimal supervision.
- Develop planning documentation and implementation roadmaps for global teams.
- Oversee dependency management, risk mitigation, and ensure delivery timelines are met.
- Report on programme progress, risks, and issues to governance bodies and senior stakeholders.
- Support decision-making and prioritisation efforts to accelerate Jira adoption across the business.
- Identify and articulate opportunities to enhance Jira usage and value to internal users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to drive action plans and rollout strategies.
- Align with business units and leadership teams to secure appropriate resource and budget allocation.
- Promote project delivery best practices with a focus on scalable Jira implementation.
- Support the annual budgeting and strategic planning cycle for tooling initiatives.
- Manage and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance, delivery-focused culture.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience leading large-scale Jira Cloud rollouts across complex, global organisations.
- Strong understanding of tooling adoption strategies and planning process standardisation.
- Demonstrable ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders (VP level and above).
- Background in managing cross-functional programmes with both internal and external teams.
- Excellent planning, reporting, and risk management skills.
- Experience delivering strategic initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Comfortable working onsite in Amsterdam 4 days per week.
