Backend Software Engineer

We at Umain are looking for Senior Backend Engineers with a genuine enthusiasm for building robust solutions that power digital experiences — engineers ready to bring passion, creativity, and dedication with them.

The role is broad but centered on backend technologies, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of projects for both Swedish and international companies.

We work with many different tech stacks, but most of our projects are written in Kotlin, Go, or TypeScript. Our approach is to use the tools best suited for each project, ensuring our teams are not locked into a single stack.

As a Senior Backend Developer at Umain, your role will involve:

• Building high-performance backend systems using modern languages like Go, NodeJS, Python, and Kotlin to power innovative experiences
• Using modern backend frameworks such as Fiber, Ktor, Express and FastAPI to create robust solutions.
• Designing and implementing cloud-native solutions across AWS, GCP and Azure, using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) for resource management
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with containerized deployments and scaling strategies
• Developing robust data models and database architectures to support application requirements
• Participating in projects & teams alongside some of the largest and most forward-thinking brands on the planet
