System Administrator | Mid-Senior | NordVPN

The Infrastructure department is responsible for influencing and tracking change, providing frontline support, and delivering software-defined solutions.

Are you motivated by the challenge of maintaining large-scale systems, improving automation, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations? We’re looking for a System Administrator to help us support and improve our global server environment. With a network of :8,000 on-premises servers worldwide, you'll contribute to the stability, performance, and security of our infrastructure, playing a key role in keeping systems running efficiently and reliably.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain and support hundreds of Linux-based servers operating globally;
• Develop and maintain end to end automation regarding the service configuration;
• Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance and health;
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues as they arise;
• Take part in developing smart routing, load balancing, and security configurations;
• Contribute to designing and improving system monitoring and reporting tools;
• Work with the team members to maintain system reliability and implement improvements;
• Participate in team discussions — new ideas and personal initiatives are always encouraged
  
  
  
  
  

Core Requirements

• Familiarity with Linux systems;
• Experience with basic automation tools like Ansible;
• Ability to write simple scripts in Python or Bash for task automation;
• Experience with monitoring tools to oversee system performance (e.g., Promethues, Grafana);
• Basic understanding of networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.);
• Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve system issues;
• Experience with firewall management;
• Familiarity with NGINX, HAProxy or similar web servers;
