This is your role:

As a Senior Mendix Developer, you will build and improve our Smart Shipment Router (SSR) platform. This system ensures that millions of parcels move quickly and smartly from sender to recipient every day. You translate complex logistics issues into innovative IT solutions that directly improve our operations. Examples include a machine learning model that predicts sorting times up to six days ahead or a system for integrating international shipments. This helps planners and customers work more reliably and prepares our logistics chain for the future.

You work in a Scrum team and design, build and optimise Mendix applications. You also experiment with new technologies, such as the Machine Learning Kit and AWS Event Brokers, and supervise large projects such as the renewal of our architecture. Within your team, you share knowledge and experiences with colleagues, so that you continue to grow as a team. Within PostNL, you work together with teams in the logistics chain, such as Chain Management and Strategy. Your role is indispensable for our joint success!

Your colleagues:

You will be part of a professional Scrum team with three Mendix developers, a Product Owner, two IT consultants and a Scrum Master. Our SSR platform combines Mendix and AWS, which gives plenty of opportunities to innovate. You work an average of two days a week at the office in The Hague. There, you will think about smart solutions with colleagues and enjoy cosy lunches.

What you bring:

In addition, you bring:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, engineering, or a related field.
• Mendix expertise at certification level (Advanced or Expert) or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within IT, technology, or an innovative environment.
