Machine Learning Engineer

Dutch speaking Machine Learning Engineer (Contract) – Hybrid | Netherlands Based

I'm looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join a key project within the energy sector. This is a contract position, and the successful applicant must be based in the Netherlands and open to hybrid working (some onsite required).

Role: Dutch speaking Machine Learning Engineer (Contract)

Location: Netherlands - Hybrid working

Duration: 2 year contract

Rates: €550 to €750 potentially more based on experience

You’ll be joining an experienced Data Science team working across several impactful initiatives:

• Smart Asset Management, developing models to predict equipment failure, optimise maintenance schedules and reduce downtime
• Energy Transactions,supporting decision-making in energy trading through data-driven models
• CO2 Monitoring Tools, helping build solutions that track, report, and reduce carbon emissions in real-time

Key responsibilities.

• Build and deploy machine learning models using Python
• Work with AzureML, Docker, and YAML-based pipelines for deployment and automation
• Develop CI/CD workflows (DevOps) to support smooth delivery
• Create dashboards and reports using Power BI to share insights with the wider business
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders

You must

• Be open to hybrid work – on-site presence in the Netherlands is required
• Have relevant experience in a similar contract role
• Ideally have domain experience in energy, sustainability, or industrial systems
