What It’s Like To Be a Product Owner

Join our world-class product team and engineering team developing Centage’s cloud FP&A platform and Excel add-on analytics tool to help drive the next generation of FP&A SaaS B2B solutions for our customers. Work with software engineers here and in Europe, drive the features most needed by our customers, and stay on top of our competitors to make sure we are always distinct.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with all stages of the product life cycle in either a software development or product management role
• Familiarity with Agile processes and tools like Jira and Confluence
• Strong ability to break down complex concepts into clear, actionable documentation
• Organized and proactive problem solver – someone who keeps things moving and digs in to help find solutions to complex problems
• Team oriented with good communication skills
  
  

Beneficial But Not Required

• Experience or interest in SaaS and/or financial software
• Familiarity with Agile
• Familiarity with accounting principles
• Familiarity with UX principles
• Experience with applications such as Figma, Zendesk, Pendo, Hotjar and Salesforce
  
  

Responsibilities

What does the day to day look like

Product Analysis

• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and turn them into clear, structured product goals
• Analyze user feedback, user activity data, and market trends to support product decisions
• Assist in tracking the Product team’s progress toward KPIs
  
  

Documentation

• Write well-defined epics, user stories, tickets, and acceptance criteria that are easy to follow and ready for development
• Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for features and customer facing communications
• Prepare release notes to communicate product updates to internal teams and users
  
  

Backlog & Initiative Planning

• Help manage and organize the product backlog in collaboration with the Product and Engineering team.
• Create, prioritize and refine tickets for sprints based on business goals and input from the product and engineering teams
• Contribute to initiative planning by preparing documentation, overviews, and tracking progress
  
  

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Product Designer to turn designs into implementation-ready user stories and tasks
• Act as a bridge between cross-functional teams to keep communication flowing and goals aligned
• Take notes and document decisions during and after product meetings
  
  

Research & Quality Support

• Assist with market and competitor research
• Support QA by sharing context and helping identify edge case
• Participate in testing and gather feedback ahead of releases
• Gather and document feedback from Centage’s customer facing teams
  
  

Operational

• Maintain tools like Jira and Confluence to ensure they are well organized.
• Assist with onboarding by providing documentation and background to new team members
• Help coordinate internal demos and planning sessions
