Location: Dublin, Ireland

Duration: 12 months

Engagement Type: PAYE / LTD / Umbrella

Daily rate: €520 - 660€



Overview:

As a Python Developer, you will apply your expertise and skills to develop more business rules in our Client's Pricing Engine, expand their test automation, oversee their code management for releases and document the logic.


You will join a team of data scientists and data analysts who are responsible for building the pricing engine on our pricing platform. We build the algorithms that find the optimal combination of prices to achieve multiple targets, given multiple constraints and uncertain future outcomes.


As a Python Developer, you will apply your expertise and skills to develop more business rules in their Pricing Engine, expand our test automation, oversee their code management for releases and document the logic. You will be integrated as part of the team and get exposure to the data science work the team is working on.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop logic using SQL and Python in their Pricing Engine to apply business rules and create automated tests
  • Oversee management of Pricing Engine code through lower environments including merges and branch management
  • Document logic in the Pricing Engine
  • Ensure quality in design and coding outputs
  • Collaborate with the team and partners to solve problems
  • Work independently and with focus when needed
  • Explore, analyze and interpret large datasets to identify patterns, trends and anomalies
  • Work within the solution delivery methods and standards set out

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must have a at least a undergraduate degree in engineering, data science, computer science or a related field
  • A high standard of programming experience with Python and SQL
  • Experience with production system change delivery methods and techniques including experience working with the Agile delivery framework, deployment practices, version control and testing practices
  • Experience with Github and code management
  • Experience with data analysis and problem solving
  • Ideally have experience with Azure analytics solutions
