As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join the team of one of our clients in Switzerland. The position is remote, and we are specifically looking for candidates based in Romania.

Your Mission

Under the supervision of the CTO and Lead Developer, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services using PHP and the Symfony framework.
• Build and consume well-structured RESTful APIs with a focus on performance, security, and reusability.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps and product teams to ensure smooth deployment in a cloud-native environment (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ensure high code quality through testing, documentation, and peer reviews.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and propose scalable solutions aligned with business and user needs.
• Use observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Sentry) to track performance and resolve real-time issues.
• Work independently and in a cross-functional, Agile team environment with a strong feedback culture.

Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, primarily with PHP and Symfony.
• Strong experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in SQL databases (e.g., MySQL), including optimization and schema design.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Git-based version control systems.
• Comfortable working with containerized environments (e.g., Docker); knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Sentry, Grafana, or Prometheus is desirable.
• Analytical, solution-oriented mindset with a strong attention to code quality and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Previous experience in Agile and collaborative environments is highly appreciated.
