We're Hiring: Remote Android Developer for a High-Growth Fintech Startup

We’re hiring on behalf of a fast-growing fintech startup based in Kuwait, currently revolutionizing how users in the region invest internationally. Their mobile app—launched in early 2023—allows individuals to trade shariah-compliant U.S. stocks, offering a secure and ethical investment experience tailored to both new and seasoned investors.

Already a breakout success in Kuwait, the app has exceeded key performance metrics in just a few months and was recognized as Fintech of the Year 2023 by Entrepreneur Magazine. With a live robo-advisory platform and a strong product roadmap, the company is now preparing for expansion across the Middle East.

To support this growth, they are looking for a Full-Time Remote Android Developer who is excited to build, ship, and scale cutting-edge mobile investment tools.

• Design and implement new features for the Android app
• Develop new mobile applications from the ground up
• Integrate essential third-party libraries and APIs
• Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests
• Improve and refactor existing codebases
• Implement end-to-end (E2E) tests to ensure app reliability
• Collaborate with the team on scalable and maintainable architecture design

• Strong experience with Kotlin
• Proficiency in the MVVM architecture pattern
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
• Hands-on experience with Android SDK and Android Studio
• Practical knowledge of mobile app architecture, flow, design, and release
• Familiarity with chart libraries is a plus
• Passion for clean, well-structured, and maintainable code
• Nice to have: Experience with testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Espresso, or UI Automator
