An established, sports-focused e-commerce platform recently secured Series A funding π , fuelling an exciting growth phase. With a lean tech team already in place, theyβre seeking a mid-level, Australia-based Java Developer π¨βπ»π©βπ» to join the team full-time.
Working hybrid in our office in Melbourne or Brisbane, you'll collaborate with team members in Melbourne and Brisbane, enhancing business processes and evolving the backend API systems that drive online ticketing sales ποΈ.
Key Responsibilities:
- π οΈ Design, build, and maintain backend systems in Java (versions 11 and newer).
- π¨ Contribute to the website interface using React (experience here is a plus).
- π Integrate with various external APIs (e.g., ticketing and travel platforms) to streamline ticket transformations, refunds, and business processes.
- π€ Work closely with business development to manage and improve APIβs.
- π§© Ensure code longevity and maintainability, creating robust solutions for the platform's current and future needs.
What We're Looking For:
- π 5-7 years of experience as a Java Developer, with a solid background in backend development and API management.
- π‘ Proven ability to work independently, make decisions, and problem-solve without extensive guidance.
- π» Familiarity with Unix-based systems, especially command-line operations; experience with editors like βviβ is a bonus.
