About us
The Wallenius Wilhelmsen group is the market leader in roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) shipping and vehicle logistics, managing the distribution of cars, trucks, rolling equipment, and breakbulk to customers all over the world. Wallenius Wilhelmsen is committed to being in the forefront of the green transition and aims to be carbon-neutral already by 2040 (read more about this in our sustainability pledge and the annual report).
The company operates around 125 vessels servicing 15 trade routes across six continents, a global inland distribution network, 66 processing centers, and eight marine terminals.
With the head office in Oslo, Norway, the Wallenius Wilhelmsen group has around 9,500 employees in 28 countries worldwide.
As a publicly listed company with Norwegian roots and a leading global position in shipping, Wallenius Wilhelmsen is uniquely positioned to lead a major industry shift. The shipping and logistics sector is facing a growing demand for digitally integrated solutions across an increasingly complex and fragmented supply chain—yet no one has truly cracked the code. WalWil is trying to change that. By moving from siloed offerings to tailored, seamless services that adapt to each client’s needs, we aim to set a new standard in the industry.
This transformation, led by our Digital Supply Chain Solutions (DSCS) unit, is a cornerstone of our company strategy, and this role as a Product Manager is pivotal to making it happen.
The DSCS unit is responsible for taking WalWil from offering standalone services to delivering fully integrated supply chain solutions. To succeed, we are looking for a Product Manager who will lead the development of these integrated offerings through our Product Accelerator program. You’ll be the driving force behind our product vision, roadmap, and customer co-creation efforts.
What we’re looking for
To succeed in this transformation, we’re looking for a Product Manager to actively lead the development of integrated solutions products, in close collaboration with senior stakeholders across the company. This role is responsible for driving the end-to-end design and development of integrated solutions, which includes defining our vision and product roadmap, facilitating collaboration between business units, and enabling customer co-creation of new products.
This is a strategically significant role that will be instrumental in our success. You’ll be in the center of our transformation, facilitating innovation across our units, which means you’ll meet all organizational stakeholders. If you have product management experience, a strong business acumen, and experience with navigating cross-functional teams, this is the perfect opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of new integrated solutions from ideation to launch, leading the development from A-Z
- Define solution vision, product roadmap, and measurable business outcomes
- Own business outcomes and translate them into digital product and process requirements
- Ensure technical and operational feasibility in collaboration with the Corporate Development Office’s end-to-end workstream
- Facilitate cross-BU collaboration to align on priorities, governance, and delivery models
- Manage the lifecycle of a portfolio of integrated products from ideation to market launch
- Co-develop go-to-market plans and customer value propositions
- Serve as a trusted partner to commercial, operational, and digital stakeholders
Qualifications
- Preferably Master’s degree, and minimum Bachelor’s degree, in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in product management, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or digital platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a prerequisite.
We’re looking for a strategic thinker who can lead through influence and deliver through collaboration. You’re experienced in navigating complex organizations and driving results without direct authority.
Nice to haves:
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and product lifecycle processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to synthesize complexity into actionable plans
- Stakeholder management
- A certain level of technical understanding (bridge the gap between business needs and technical development)
- Experience with product management
At Wallenius Wilhelmsen, we're not just looking for a perfect requirement match - we're searching for passionate individuals with unique perspectives. Since we are looking for the best talents to join our company, we want to address a common concern: research shows that women and members of minority groups often hesitate to apply if they don’t meet every single requirement - give us the opportunity to decide if that's the case! Your experience and enthusiasm matter more than checking every box, and we'd love to have you on board!
