This role sits with a leading professional services company on a major cyber resilience initiative. This aggressive, high-priority project aims to upgrade the current infrastructure, with a roadmap already in place and delivery in a short timeframe.

As part of a large team of ~30 professionals, we’re seeking a Cyber Security Architect (daily rate Contractor) to lead and support network security enhancements over an initial 6-month term.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Upgrade: Contribute to a strategic upgrade of the institution’s security infrastructure based on a pre-defined roadmap.
• Vendor Consolidation: Assess current vendor landscape and drive consolidation and long-term resilience.
• Network Assurance: Enhance access controls, visibility, and governance across the network.
• Security Architecture: Design and implement a scalable anti-DDoS architecture.
• Zero Trust: Shape an optimized edge/perimeter security posture aligned to Zero Trust principles.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in network security architecture, preferably in regulated or financial environments.
• Strong grasp of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, NIS2.
• Deep knowledge of advanced networking and cybersecurity operations.
• Familiarity with Akamai WAF, Prolexic, or similar technologies.
• Background in one or more of the following:
• Security Operations
• Network Operations
• Infrastructure Engineering
• Network Security Architecture
