About Your Role:
The HR/Onboarding Specialist will play a key role in providing administrative support to the Talent and Leadership team by managing the end-to-end onboarding process for new employees. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to grow a career in Human Resources while gaining hands-on experience in onboarding, employee experience, and HR administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including scheduling orientation sessions, preparing onboarding materials, and ensuring completion of new hire documentation.
- Act as a point of contact for new employees to ensure a welcoming and informative onboarding experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS and other systems.
- Assist with background checks, employment verification, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and Hiring Managers to ensure new hires are set up with necessary tools and access.
- Support onboarding/off boarding procedures and employee data updates as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement of onboarding and HR processes to enhance employee experience.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in an HR support or administrative role, preferably in onboarding or employee services.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Experience with HRIS or onboarding systems is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the HR field.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with systems like Gusto, Ashby, or similar.
- Knowledge of New York City or New York State labor laws and HR best practices.

Compensation:
