About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Head of Cloud to establish and lead a new cloud function within the business. This is a senior hybrid role that blends technical leadership, hands-on architecture, and client-facing pre-sales work.

You’ll be responsible for shaping our cloud strategy across Azure, AWS, and private cloud environments, while building and managing a high-performing team. You’ll also play a key role in supporting the commercial side of the business, particularly during the pre-sales process — helping to define solutions, engage with clients, and steer conversations from a technical perspective.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and lead the cloud function, including hiring, team structure, and technical direction
• Define and deliver modern, scalable cloud architectures across Azure, AWS, and private cloud
• Work closely with sales and account teams to support bids, proposals, and pre-sales activity
• Act as a senior point of contact for clients, helping translate requirements into robust solutions
• Develop internal standards and best practices for cloud adoption, security, and governance
• Drive innovation in tooling, automation, and cloud-native approaches
• Support the wider business with thought leadership and technical input at a strategic level
• What We’re Looking For
• Strong experience designing and delivering cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and private cloud
• Proven track record of building and leading cloud teams, ideally in a consultancy or services environment
• Hands-on architecture skills, comfortable working at both strategic and technical levels
• Experience working in pre-sales or directly with customers to shape cloud-based solutions
• Good understanding of cloud security, DevOps, cost management, and automation
• Confident communicator, able to lead conversations with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Bonus Skills

• Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Architect, AWS Architect)
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerisation, and infrastructure-as-code
• Background in managed services or cloud consultancy
