About The Job

Have you already gained professional experience in software development in the field of Debian GNU/Linux or comparable systems after your lateral entry, your training or your studies? Would you like to develop an independent product and not just process orders from customers?

With us you dedicate yourself to exciting tasks and make the education system better!

We are constantly adding new functions to the IServ school platform, developing completely new modules and maintaining existing systems.

For our customers, we also operate and maintain several thousand servers (cloud and on-premise) with our product, the IServ school platform, using a self-developed tool for configuration management.

Your Tasks

• Automation of system operation for over 5000 customers
• Analysis and resolution of complex problems, including in third-party software
• Communication and close cooperation with our customer service, system administration and other internal customers
  
  

You are already proficient in the following technologies or are confident that you can learn them with our support:

• Debian GNU/Linux
• System services such as Cyrus, Exim, Samba, LDAP and FreeRADIUS
• Package management (apt and dpkg)
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Git for source code management
• Ideally initial experience in the field of system-related software development or system administration under Linux
• Programming knowledge in a common programming or scripting language is an advantage
