Join Us as a Lead Communication Systems Engineer and Shape the Future of Mission-Critical Connectivity!

As a Communication Systems Engineer, you will be the key to creating advanced solutions that go beyond what our customers expect. You will ensure communication between the vehicle and the operator using IP radio (point-to-point and mesh networks).

You´ll lead the design and integration of mission-critical communication technologies, crafting intelligent systems and leveraging cutting-edge innovations to drive our next-generation product development. These capabilities and limits of these systems need to be communicated to internal and external clients. You'll also talk and work with top partners to help our company stand out in the industry. If you're excited to make a difference and ready for a challenge, we'd love for you to apply. Let's build the future together!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking full technical ownership of the communication systems roadmap within the company and driving the development and integration of communication technologies for our products.
  • Leading the team in shaping a clear vision, breaking the projects down into parts and ensuring that the team not only has a clear workflow, but is guided, supported and motivated.
  • Acting as the go-to technical contact for Project Managers, Product Teams, and partners as well as supporting the Sales team with requirements management.
  • Close cross-functional collaboration with different engineering counterparts, including Systems, Software and Mechanical Engineering as well as Product teams, to make sure the systems integrate smoothly.
  • Overseeing field testing and validation of communication modules, making sure they perform reliably in real-world conditions.
  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues - like RF, latency, or network failures - both in the lab and in the field.
  • Collecting performance data from fielded systems and analyzing for system design improvements.
  • Providing clear technical documentation and readiness reports for both internal leadership and external customers.
  • Keeping track of what’s new in tactical communication technologies and bringing valuable ideas to the table when it makes sense.

You’re a great fit if you have:

  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience. Prior people management experience is a plus, but not essential.
  • Hands-on experience with tactical communication systems, including IP radios (point-to-point and mesh networks).
  • A strong background in radio configuration, interference handling, and troubleshooting, and a willingness to stay hands-on.
  • A proactive mindset and the confidence to speak up for the communication system and its technical limits in project discussions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—you know how to build trust and create alignment across teams and with external partners.
  • A strong sense of ownership—you take initiative, follow through, and care about delivering quality results.
  • Higher education in Communication and Information Systems or a related technical field.
  • Very good English skills (at least B2 level).

What we offer:

  • A chance to implement your ideas and make an impact with a dedicated, innovative team.
  • Opportunities for growth in a dynamic global company with leaders who believe in the potential of the high-tech industry.
  • The chance to help shape the future of technology and the world.
  • Career development support, health insurance, extra vacation days, flexible working options, and wellness activities - all within a diverse, international team.

To apply, please send your application by 31.05.2025 at the latest. We review applications continuously and may contact qualified candidates for interviews before the official deadline.
