Software Developer - Java/Kotlin (m/f/d)

Your tasks

Are you ready to shape the future of access control technology? At SKIDATA, we’re looking for a passionate Software Developer Java/Kotlin to join our dynamic Device Software Team. In this exciting role, you’ll develop and optimize software for access devices used in high-impact environments like Sports Stadiums, Ski Resorts, and Parking facilities worldwide.

What You’ll Do

  • Java/Kotlin Development: Design, develop, and maintain software for our access devices using your expertise in Java and Kotlin.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a highly collaborative team of developers and QA professionals to solve complex problems and drive development forward.
  • Quality Mindset: Contribute to enhancing software quality by writing unit tests and supporting our test automation strategy.
  • Advanced Systems Work: You’ll have the chance to work with advanced embedded systems, manage gRPC interfaces, and help modernize our device software stack to create a unified code base that powers all our access devices globally.

Your profile

  • Strong expertise in Java and/or Kotlin programming.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development.
  • Passionate about working in an agile, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with embedded Linux systems, Compose UI framework, gRPC, and Rust programming is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus).
