Head of Engineering

About the Client

Our client is a global insurer on a search for a forward-thinking Head of Engineering to lead the technical evolution of their insurance platform.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams.
• Own the engineering roadmap for a high-availability platform, with a strong focus on scalability, resilience, and reusability.
• Collaborate with product and business leaders to define and deliver innovative digital insurance experiences.
• Drive development on Microsoft Azure, embedding FinOps practices to ensure operational efficiency.
• Drive engineering excellence through DevSecOps, CI/CD, automation, and modern architecture.
• Oversee systems built with .NET, Java, Angular, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Foster platform innovation via open APIs, embedded finance/insurance, and modular service design.

Experience and Qualifications

• Strong background in .NET, Java, Angular, and CMS platforms like AEM.
• Expertise in cloud-native architecture, preferably with Azure.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on ability to drive platform and product engineering at scale.
• Experience with dynamic pricing, conversational interfaces, or analytics-driven decisioning engines would be beneficial.
