Job Purpose
- Support the development and delivery of the digital elements of the museum’s onsite, offsite, and online public events, courses, interpretation, publications, school programmes, teacher training, and visitor experiences that are relevant and engaging for all generations across the UAE and beyond.
- To connect visitors to Zayed National Museum by developing compelling thematic interpretation that attracts, welcomes, inspires, and informs visitors about the history of the UAE and its founding father. The intention is to guide our audiences through a life-long journey of discovery that connects them to Sheikh Zayed and the UAE.
- Identify and test digital learning technologies for visitor experience, online, onsite, and offsite.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research, content development, and production for assigned digital interpretive content for audiences with a variety of background, interest and demographics.
- Work collaboratively with internal colleagues and external partners in relevant sectors to support the development and delivery of a range of digital interpretation, school programmes, teacher training, publications, and visitor experience which are sensorial, inspiring and share the museum’s stories with a wide audience.
- Contribute to online and digital learning platforms, including apps, social media, online outreach, web, exhibit interactives, etc.
- Continually stay on top of emerging technologies, tools and trends and ensure ZNM is engaging on these in relevant and meaningful ways onsite and digitally and recommend new initiatives to keep us at the forefront of digital engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with curators, artists, interpreters, educators, publications, events, and external partners to ensure audiences are the centre in the development of compelling and accessible digital experiences.
- Ensure that our digital offer is inclusive and accessible for People of Determination, the elderly, and other underrepresented audiences.
- Support in-house online content, using existing and future digital channels, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to organise and deliver a range of digital events for different audiences.
- Make use of digital analytics to increase reach and retention.
Required Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as museum studies, creative industries, game design, education, technology, or a related discipline.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in supporting the development, planning, delivery, and evaluation of digital learning products, programmes and strategies for a wide variety of audiences, using a wide variety of media.
- Experience in developing and delivering digital learning projects and cultural content across various platforms, with strong multimedia and editing skills.
- Proven ability to manage digital learning projects from concept to completion, that inspire visitors to connect to cultural heritage.
- Strong understanding of digital audience engagement, museum education practices, and inclusive content creation for diverse online audiences.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent in Arabic and English
