DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to automate, streamline, and optimize our software development and deployment pipelines. The role involves designing and maintaining infrastructure, enhancing CI/CD capabilities, and ensuring reliability, scalability, and observability of OCI-hosted applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• CI/CD Pipelines:
• Design, implement, and manage robust continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines tailored for OCI-based applications.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
• Automate provisioning and management of OCI infrastructure using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Automation:
• Automate build, deployment, and testing workflows to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
• Monitoring & Observability:
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for infrastructure and applications on OCI.
• Issue Resolution:
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to OCI services, network configurations, and application deployments.
• Security Compliance:
• Ensure secure configuration and adherence to cloud security best practices across all environments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to support seamless software delivery.

Required Skills and Experience:

• OCI Expertise:
• Hands-on experience with core OCI services such as Compute, Networking, Storage, Databases, and DevOps tools.
• Scripting & Automation:
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks.
• DevOps Tooling:
• Experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Cloud & Container Technologies:
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and virtualization.
• Networking:
• Solid grasp of networking principles and troubleshooting within cloud environments.
• Security Practices:
• Familiarity with security protocols and best practices in cloud application delivery.

Specific OCI-Related Tasks:

• Provision and configure OCI tenancies for dev and production.
• Deploy applications to OCI Compute instances or OCI Kubernetes clusters (OKE).
• Manage OCI networking resources: VCNs, security lists, routing tables, and load balancers.
• Integrate OCI with Oracle services, such as Oracle Autonomous Database.
