THE ROLE

We're looking for an enthusiastic and talented Junior UX/UI Designer to join our product development team.

You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to design intuitive and visually appealing interfaces for our web and potentially mobile applications. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow your UX/UI skills in a supportive and collaborative environment, contributing to the entire design process from concept to execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs and pain points.
  • Contribute to the development of user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Collaborate with the team to translate user needs and business requirements into compelling and user-centered design solutions.
  • Create visually consistent and engaging user interfaces, adhering to brand guidelines and best design practices.
  • Develop and maintain UI style guides and component libraries.
  • Assist in the testing and iteration of designs based on user feedback and data.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UX/UI trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Effectively communicate design rationale and present work to the team.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure the feasibility and quality of design implementation. 

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2+ years' experience in a design role.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your design process and visual design skills, including examples of web and/or mobile design.
  • Solid understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Familiarity with usability testing methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on design.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • A proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to take initiative.
  • A passion for creating user-friendly and visually appealing digital experiences.
  • Interest in the financial technology domain is a plus.
